The fundraising effort, in the basement of the Ellesmeore Belamy Centre in Scarborouhi, was partially staffed by Whitby residents. Volunteers were ail parent inembers of the swim club. Breakfast of Champions The Bureau for Excellence in Durhamn Region (BEDR) will host the inaugural 'Breakfast of Champions' meeting Tuesday, April 5 at Cullen Gardens. Elaine inacs of the Minacs Group Ine. will be guest speaker. Minacs is the recipient of the Quality Plus 'Award which le presented annually te the Canadian womgn entrepreneur who bas demonstrated excellence with respect to customers, employees, commumity and environment. The series of breakfast meetings will ho addressed by local businesspeople known for their comitmnt equality and continuous improvement.
