Although the value of permits processed last montÊh was slightly bass than the total for October 1992, the overaîl figure for 1993 remains more than 21 per cent higher than for the correspondingperiod asat year. Last month, 123 permits, hav- ing a value of $12.3 million, were issued. In October 1992, the figure was 97 permits at $13.3 million. However, for the year to date, 721 permits with a value of $84.8 have been processed . In 1992, the total was 678 permits at $69.7 million. This represents a whopping 562.7 per oent jump over last year's $1.7 million.
