June 2. 1993, Page 19 fa{ B KIT.~ The 82nd annual Brookiin Spring Fair begins Thursday nîght with the Miss Brooklin pageant in the arena and the demolition derby on the fair- grounds. The midway rides begin at 4 p.m. on Friday. The truck and tracter pull begins at 7 p.m. Friday, and includes a demonst- ration pul by Art Arfons and his Green M onster modified tracter. There will be square dancing in the arenn on n iaynight. The 'Fun on the Farrn' parade, organized by Group '74, a service club made up of women from Brookiin and area, is one of the Saturday morning activities. The parade begins at 10:30 a.m., on North Street, and the route ends at the fairgounds. The craft show and sale begins en Saturday at 10 a.m. and continues until 8 l m. Livestock shows will be heYd throughout Saturday, and there will be more than 20 exhibitors in the agricul- turai tent. The demelition derby wil agai be heid on Saturday night. Te craft show wiIl be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sun- day. Sunday's activity aise in- cludes the Jack Russell dog races at il a.m., the 'Cruisin' Day> car show, harness horse races at 1:30 p.m. and fiddle and stop darnce competition at 4 p.m. The livestock shows and agri- cultural tent shows continue on Sunday Adul tadmission to the fair is $6, student aged 12 to 18 pay $5 and there is no charge for t hose under age 12. A four-day pass is available for $12. Vehicle parking is $2. Nursery lias booth at fair Brooklin Day Nursery will have a booth at the Brooklin Spririg Fair on Saturday, June 4 and Sunday, June 5. They will selI greeting cards made by the children, buttons, Brooklin Spring Fair T-shirts, baked goods and face-painting. They will aise enter a float, «'On Our Way to Grandpa's Farm,' in the Brooklin Fair parade. Three winners of the teurnamnent may be eligible te compete in the Central Ontario District Optimist Tournament at the Chedoke Golf Club in Hamilton, June 25.
