The cast for the play is fary large, with 15 members, and according to a few of the cast and th;e director, everybody is working well together. Lama Batherson is playing an 18-year-old who is four to six weeks pregnant. Her character must face some difficult decisions, such as whether to have an abortion, to have the child, but put hlm or her un for adoption, or to keep the baby. Bath erson bas ceen involved in theatre for about 12 years, from the Whitby Courthouse Theatre to York University. She says that 'Diamond Vision' is "'really interesting. It breaches a lot of topics that are important today.» Joshua Thompson bas done a few commercials on television, but this is only his third play. Tbompson's character varies tbroughout the play. He becomes other players on the basebaîl team. That way, the action continues, making it seemn like a real basebalgame. «Everyone's .good," says Thompson about his fl low cast members. "We work well now that we know each other." The director of 'Diamond Vision,' Chris Rollo, says that the playis xiting, and that it has an appeal for a wide audience. "t deals with issues that are easy to relate to for most peop le," she says. "It's about very ordinary people dealing with their lives." Rollo has been involved in theatre for 15 years, but she says that she has always loved watching it even as a child. She bas been directing plays since l~e fali of 1987. DuBois and Kompnss will be performning 'Viennese Opera Favourites.'
