Don't know what to do about it? Why not try Stages, a local theatre workshop? Anybody can get involved in this workshop, and no theatre ex p rience is necessar. t You don't even hae t want to make theatre part of your future. Stages is for fun. The workshop has four diffrent age groups: junior level, for ages 7 to 10; intermediate, ages il to 13; senior, ages 14 to 17, and the aduit level. Activities vary, depending on the age groups, but the work- shops gen erally help participants develop theatre techniques. Workshops 'help b ring out an individual's creativity, voice, movement, improvisation, script interpretation and other activi- ties related to the theatre. Activities are based on the partici*pants' abilities. Workshops also help develop confidence and self-esteem. Prices and locations vary, depending once again on the age group. Registration is limited to 15 people per group. Regular programs run for 12 weeks, but there are some special programs for March break and summer. Audience involved in courtroom play A play involving audience par- ticipation opens in Port Penny this week. The Borelians Community Theatre of Port Penny is present- ing the 'Night of Januany l6th', a courtroom drama-comedy written by author Ayn Rand almost 60 yeans ago. Set in New York City in 1934, the play is about the trial of Karen Andre, a young woman accused of murdering hen lover, Bjorn Faulkner.
