Sh. was born in Toronto on August 20, 1917, daughter of Johnmie and Alma (Pearce) Aus- tin. She married Roy Edgar McCabe on October 7F, 1939 in Toronto. A Whitby resident' since 1983 Mrs. McCàbe was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church. She wrote the former 'Reflections of a Golden Age' column for Tlhe Free Press. She is survived by sons Paul, Jim Tom and Bob, daughters Linâa Wilson and Mary Dening- ton, grandchildren' Shannon Barnes, Terri McCabe, Colleen McCabe. Dean McCabe, Kristy McCabe, -Craig McCube, Peter Wilson, Rick aisoýn, John Wil- son Sean McCabe Ryan Mcâabe Nicholas &cCabe, Tommy kcCabe, Avery McCabe$, Lee Denington and seven great- grandchildren. 5h. was predeceased by her husband, 'and sister Gladys Whittling.
