Tractor pull attracts entries from wide area By Mario Boucher The tractor pull *will again be one of the Brooklin Spring Faii>s biggest attractions. Traditionally, the event is very popular and' is a lot of fun to watch, says Rob Carson, chair of the organizing cornmittee for the event. "inm absolutely sure if~s going -?.o be a great pull, as great as any in the past yearsP" he says. The tractor pull is scheduled for Friday, June 5 at 7 p.m. at the racetrack. A total of $7,000 in prizes will be awarded to various winners in six different classes: streetiegal pickup trucks, rnodified 4-wheel pickup trucks, modified 2-wheel pickup trucks, modified tractors prostock tractors, and light anâ heavy prostock tractors. Canson says the board is hoping to Ret a special attraction in a feature pull before the fair gets going. H1e says some of the trucks and tractors are exciting to watch because they often look like regmlar farm vehicles but have more power than it seems, and the drivers always put on a good show. Entries are expected t, corne from ail over southern Ontario, including from Niagara Falls, to6 compete in the various events, he saye. The tractor pull is sanctioned by the Central Lake Ontario Tractor Pull Association.
