He will be accompae by an exehange ski- dent ftrom Brazi1 for the entire Ihave ta teach him French, he has ta teach me Portuguese.» .Canada World Youth is a non- governmental non- rofit organi- zation formed -by anad*an citi- zens. The goal is ta have youth experience different cultures ta create a more compassionate understanding'for other parts of the world. They deal with 36 exehange countries and, ta date, have had 7,400 participants since it was forei;ý n 1970. On this exchange there are 150 Ontario students participating "I go ta Qjiebec for four inonths,» says Doucette. "I will live with a hast'familyr and I will work for them. It s a very demanding program. 1 will not have much free time.» Douoette knows where he's roing. In both Quebec and Brazil ewill work on a farmn, get minimal spending money and spend much of Mis non-farming time networking with other MA&RK DOUCETTE exehange students and teaching hastprovinces about Ontario. All he takes with him are three changes of clothes and $150 cash. «Everything else is paid for," says Doucette. In Brazil, Doucette will spend Mis time ini Salvador, located about 600 kms from Rio de Janeiro.
