Henry senior and junior tearns, also u ndefeated, both won touramns over the weekend. Tougli week for bantams it was a frustrating week for the Whitby Precision Litho ic. bantam B hockey team as they lost games te, Peterborough, Osh- awa and Cedar Hill. In the 9-2 loss te, Peter- borough, Whitby onlyv managed 12 shots on net. Goals were scored by Mike Brillinger and Trevor Stenning. Clayton Stillar produced the only goal for Whitby hi their 5-1 loss te, Oshawa, whi le the only moal in their 8-1 loss te Cedar fill came from Jordan Hansford. Mike Thorne will- be joeing the coaching staff, and hopeste be able te restere stability te the teain after the departure of for- mer head coach, Peter Stella. Thorne will be bringing in seven years of experience, and hopes te use it te help rebuild the defence. Ron Brillinger will assume head coach responsibility. The Henry senior girls' volley- baIl teai, facing their toughest opposition from, rival Anderson Mwon a teurnament at G.L. Roberts over weekend. Henry knocked off Dunbarton 15-4 and 15-6 in the final game. To get te the finals Henry had te take on rival Anderson, who put Up a struggle but were flnally retired 15-9 and 15-13. Anderson and Henry were tied in their pool at 5-1. However, Anderson won the pool as they had defeated Henry in an earhier game. Henry picked up a wild card berth as there were three pools. Once again Henry played Ander- son thus time Her prevailing 15-à and 15-13 te ad7vance te the finals against Dunbarton. Henry beat Dunbarton, who gfot by Pickerig in their semi- fmalýà match, 154and 15-6. Henry remains unbeaten i four league gares this season. TOURNAMENT The Henry junior girls' volley- baîl team also won a tournanient at over the weekend at Harwood. Thejuniors were undefeated in p olad semi-final play aund then bat Port Perry in the finals in two straight games. The team's serving. was vir- tually perfect, as Erin NeilIy wentl100 per cent and Heather Van Patter went 98 per oent. Nicola Mitchell provided the strength up the middle. The juniors, like the seniors, are 4-0 on the season. Both the junior and senior teains will be in Waterloo on Jan. 13 te take part in another tournainent. McBurnyn and the reat of the team were at a four-day invita- tional meet on Dec. 10-14. She finished third i the girls aged 13 and 14 100m breaatstroke, and fourth i the 50m and 100m freestyle.
