"Hloity toityl A timid young girl ... travelling alone tonight,' the old woman exclaimed with a hideous grin. 'Let me tell your fortune, my pretty dear." The old woman stretched a bony ari toward the timid young girl while the large black cat arched bis back and meowed and the long black snake watched with beady eyes. "No, no!," cried the timid young girl shrinldng into a corner with her pretty hande bebind ber back. At that moment the door was tbrown violently open and in rusbed a talI, tbin man wearing a long raincoat. His face was hidden by a drooping bat but bis voice was low and pleasant. "Allow me," be said and gently pushed between the timid young girl and the old, old woman who tbree times pointed ber finger at tbe tail man. A yellow dog howled from under the seat, the large black cat meowed agair and tbe long black snake hissed. On the window sill of tbe coach a big black crow alighted. Into tbe coach flew four black bats and tbey beat their wings in the face of the timid young girl. Througb tbe window peered the grotesque face of a bogie man. Nearer and nearer te tbe old, old woman bent tbe tail man as be fixed on tbe old, old woman witb two startling eyes and pushed back bis bat. 0 0 0 Witb a terrified sbriek the old, old woman sprang te the'door, followed by ber large black cat, tbe bowling yellow dog, ýtbe long black snake, four black bats and the big black crow.
