Called 'The New Facts of Life,' the video offers explicit information on AIDS transmission and prevention behaviors for Canadian youth. 'The New Facts of LiÀe' is constructed in a TV newsmagazine format with a teenaged boy and girl as hosta. The message of the video lias been described as frank and direct. One of the segments provides information on safer sex including a representation of the proper way to put on and take off a condom. A dramatic scene on a couch shows. two teenagers discussing their feelings about sex. A person with AIDS talks plainly about the risks he took. "Students told us they wanted the facts in straightforward language," says Dr. Ian Gemmili, chairman of the OPHA A1DS eduEation and awareness program advisory- committee.
