The children had said farewell and had ieft with their paet.The counsellors, flushed with satisfaction from another scsful sumnmer, completed the clean-up, packed their gear and departed. The assistant director was taking one last look before ieaving when he saw one small boy with his sleeping bag and suitoase trudgng down the lane. When the director* stopped him and asedlm who was taking him home, the boy explained he was catching the transit bus at the camp gate. He had attended three camps that summer and this was his method of transportation to The programn of residential summer camps offered by the Boy Scouts at Camp Samac sounded like the answer to their prayers. The boy was registered for one camp early in the summer as an experiment. It proved so successful that he was immediately registered for two more. In telling the story, the grandmother said "These camps have been so good for Mark. The counseliors, other campers and the surroundings have been the oniy positive experience in his recent lite and they have made such a difference in him. He is actualiy looking forward to going back to schooi this fail. We are so grateful to you and your people that have made this possible."
