The architectural firm of Milus, Bolenberghe, Topps and Watchorn carried out a master plan for the park in 1987 for the recjesign of the park. That same firm has been hired ta conduct the first phase of the redesign which is to include race track renovations, planting, parking facilities, two soccer fieds and electrical require- ments. The costs of those redesigns is estiniated at $600,000. The study is a foliow-up toaa number of other studies carried out in Brookiin on the viliage's water and sewers. A study in 1986 determined there was a serious sewage pro- blem which contributed ta bac- terial contamination of Lynde Creek. The probleni was rel ated ta sto-.rn water discharge ai-d maifunctioning private sewage systems. This latest study is ta find a solution ta the problem. This will require a review of ail septic tank systems and a survey of every property in Brooklin. No time limit was given for the study which will be sent ta flive consultants as soon as the Town receives approval for the terms of reference from the Ministry of Environrnent.
