For Tigers' founder Ian Barron, 38, it will be his 26th marathon event. He has a personal best of three hours, one minute, 52 seconds and hopes to go under three hours in the "New York event, which attracts 22,000 runners from ail over the world. Also running in the New York Marathon will be Bill Webb, 42, of Whitby; John Houston, 45, Oshawa; and Bian McArthur, 39. Webb, a technical supervisor for Ontario Hydro at Darlington, has entered- nine marathons and has a best time of three hours, 30 seconds. He competed in the Boston Marathon in 1987, and describes it as his "most memborable" race because of incredible crowd size and support." Webb has run in the New York marathon on two previous occasions.- Houston, a shift supervisor for Ontariô Hydro at Darlington, has run* 12 marathons personal best of two minutes in Northern July 1988. with hours, Ireland McArthur has been in five marathons, with a best time of three hours and 20 minutes.
