Make it clear te your physician that you 'intend to patronize 'those doctors who haveý a strong commitment to the Whitby General and are prepared to express in writing their frustrations te, the niinister concerning their inability to admit Whitby patients te the Whitby General Hospital for a number of basic medical services that should be available in a community of this size. Unfortunately, there are no quick fixes. If the people of this community sxncerely want to bing about a change in the minister's thining, they must be prepared to take the time to write the minister and express their point of, view. Furthermore, they must be prepared to find out where their physician stands in relationship te the Whitby General Hospital and what that physician is prepa.red to do in order to work towards the at- tainment of a nurnber of basic services which should be available to the citizens of this community at their local hospital. I urge you te get involved and to take- the time te express your concerns directly to the minister. I urge the' doctors of this community te do likewise. Unless we, as a group, are. prepared to follow this course of action there is little likelihood that our ex- pectations will ever be met.
