Two are. injured in collision with cruiser Two Whitby me*n remain in hospital with serious injuries followinga collision between a motorcycle and a Durham Regional Police cruiser in down- town Oshawa Saturday morning. Christopher Yanch, 17, of Chatsworth St. was the driver of the motorcycle and Jeffrey McMacking, 18, of Butterfleld Ores., a passenger. Both injured were taken to Oshawa General Hospital follow- ing the accident which occurred at 3:20 a.m. on King St. W., east of Centre St. Yanch was later transported to Toronto General. Police are still investigating the cause of the accident but say it appears that the motorcycle ran into the back of the cruiser. Both men on the bike then were flung over the cruiser. The bike then hit a parked car. Damage ta the bike is estimated at $4,000. Damage to the cruiser is estimated at $4,00 with the parked car receiving $2,000 in damage. The officers were treated for whiplash at Oshawa- General and released. n.
