The study, carried out by a committee of senior.citizens with help from the Province and the Town.,was presented.te Whitbys operations committee last week. "The centre is no longer adequately meeting seniors needa," Audrey Garrett -a .mem- ber of the seniors committee, said at the meeting. The study found that the centre bas waiting. lists for many of the programs offered. and some have to be cancelled for lack of space. Garrett said the majority of Pathfinders to attend camp Whitby and Janis Thipp sund Flag-raising at Hleber Down Campera at the Heber Down campsite are earmarked for an extra dose of CLOCA hospitality over the long weekend. An estimated 3,000 girls from around the world will attend the camp in Echo Valley provincial park, north of Regina. the 320 seniors interViewed for the study indicated they would prefer a central location for a new facility' rather than several locations throughout, the town. The. building should also be acce ssible to seniors who walk or diesire to, take, public, trans portation, noted the study.
