Dave Satchko, goalie for Gen-Auto, had three assists. Bethany horse trials upcoming Bethany Ruils Hunt is hosting their seventh annuai horse trials on Saturday and Sunday, June 18 and 19 at C.F.R.B. Farm. Some of Ontario's finest equestrians and future Olympic hopefuis will compete in a one-day event inciuding dressage tests, a spectacular cross- country course, and stadium jumping. Each element of horse triais tests different abiiities of the horse and rider. The dressage test a exhibits ail the grace and elegance of the equine athlete. The endurance test demands speed and power and stamina. The cross-country phase commands confidence, courage, generosity of spirit, good judgmnent and overaîl athletic ability not required of any other sport horse (not- to mention the riders.) This phase.of the competition is the most- spectacular for the public to watchm, consisting of a one-to-three-mile course at a galloping speed, over varied terrain. Fences are solid and natural looking and include steep verticles, banks, gates, *combinations, water and ditches. Spectators newý to horse trials are advised to dress for the weather- as, there are no luxuries such aeý covered viewing areas. Above '-ail, wear' comfortable fiotwear and be prepared to enjoy a.d$ýy n the country watching a Uu'e and ýexciting formn of sport Activities begin at 9 a.m. and mun continuously until 5 p.m. Admission is $3, per car and refreshments are available.
