The Vikings, first team got two tries from Bilan Watts and single tries from Pete Clayton and Dan Player in the win over Buccan- eers on Saturday. Doug MeCon- key. kicked two converts and added three penalties. But on Sunday, with several key players absent and a disap- pointing performance, Vikings were no match for Lensbury. Vikings second team crushed Buccaneers second team 47-0 on Saturday. Ian Thompson con- verted seven of eight tries and added one penalty. Marie in the Ontario Hockey League draft. Foote, a midget age player during the past season in the Brooklin-WVhitby system, is also a skilled lacrosee player who now plays for the Whitby Warriors junior team. Foote's selection by the Greyhounds was 21st overail in the OHL draft. Ille captain of the Brook- lin-Whitby midget squad had 25 goals and 40 assista Iast year. His former teammate, Keith Primeau, was picked last year out of Whitby bantam hockey by Hamilton. A former Whitby minor hockey player, Bian Mueggler, was picked by Hamilton in the fourth round. Mueggler played for Oshawa midgets last season. David Grant, another Whitby midget, was selected in the 2Oth round. Four gold for Morrice Jili Morrice -4f the Whitby Iroqjuois Swim Club won four gold medas in the Guelph long course invitational swim meet May 28 and 29. Morrice won the 100 back- stroke, 100 fly, 200 individual medley and 200 backstroke for girls 13 and 14. She also had a silver in the 200 fly. Leslie Dowson won two events and was second in three others for girls' 10 and under. Danielle Johnson won the 100 backstroke, 200 backstroke and 100 freestyle for girls' il and 12. The Whitby girls' 10 and under relay teams won the 200 freestyle and 200 medlley. Molly Morrice, who won gold in the 200 breaststroke, joined Dowson, Anianda Brimble and Andrea Bell in the 200 free. Morrice, Dowson, Brimble and Jennifer Henry in the 200 medley. Wendy Primeau wats first in the 400 freestyle and 200 fly for girls' 15 and omer. Jason Ayotte won gold in the 200 backstroke and 100 breaststroke for boys' 13 and 14. Chris Hall was second in two events for boys' 10 and under. Pawluk and Puddister lead Whitby Jamie Pawluk drove in five runs while Tim Puddister went ail the way on the mound as Whitby peewees defeated Bow- manville 11-5 Iast week. Pawluk hit a home mun and double while Puddister, who eamned his second victory this season, banged out four hits. Brett Rayne, 71m Imeson, Ian Andrew, Tim Grylis, Greg Davis, Jamie DMfore and Mike Innes also had hiits for Whitby. Rayne, the team's catcher, injured his thumb and will miss a few games.
