Jagger second in synch swim Rachel Jagger of Whitby was second in three events and was part of the overali senior team champions in the Trillium syn- chronized swimniing tournament held in Oshawa over the week- end. Jagger'is a member of the Oshawa Synchronized Swim Club which hosted the meet' that attracted 116 competitors fromn 10 clubs in Ontario and Quebec. She was second in junior (age il to 14) figures and junior solos and teanied with Angela Baldwin for a second-place finish in senior (15 and over) duets. The Oshawa club's senior competitors dominated, with Holly Lundmark winning senior figures and placing second, behind Baldwin, in solos. "Baldwin was third in senior, figures and Sarah Dunstall, another Oshawa club member, fourth. Dunstall was third in senior solos. Dunstall and Lundmark team- ed to -win the senior duets, with Jagger and Baldwin second. Oapturing the Trillium trophy as best all-round team was the Oshawa club fivesome of Jagger, Dunstaîl, Lundmark, Baldwin and Tanya Sheehy. Coach of' the Oshawa club, which had 23 swimmers in the competition, is Linda Lyons. Oshawa -Vikings- I rugby team began the regular sehedule with a 17-9 victory over Toronto's Balmy Beach on Saturday. Mike Clayton scored two trys while Tony Squarcitto had three penalty kicks. The Vikings II teain lost 14-0 to Balmy Beach V's, ail the points scored in the last few minutes of the contest. Vikings will play in a tournament in Rochester, N.Y., over the weekend and resume league play on May 28.
