Stewart and Wiseman are teachers while White is a family counsellor. Two "issue forums" have been. planned before the nomination meeting to give riding association members a chance to meet prospective candidates. The issue forums will be held at the Earl of Durham, Whitby, on Saturday, May 21, 6:30 p.m.; Rougehili Library, Pickering, on May 10, 7:30 p.m.; UAW Hall, Ajax, on May 30, 7:30 p.m. Riding association president Bernie Emof (839-8443) and secretary Bryce Jordan (668- -5494) can provide further information.* Driver is convicted A Whitby man who was convicted of twVo counts of criminal negligence in an acci- dent that killed two teenage girls last February will be sentenced on June 17 in Whitby. Sean LaRose, now living in Toronto, was found guilty of the charges in Whitby district court last week. LaRose was was driving a male friend and the two girls, Kathy LaRose, 17 of Port Perry and Rhonda Williamson, 17, of Uxbridge, to a party when the accident occurred. LaRose's car hit a hydro pole at the intersection of Durham Rd. 23 and Hwy. 8, and rolled several. times. Both girls were illed. Judge Donald Lawson stayed impaired charges aginst LaRose who had more than two times the legal amount of alcohol in his system.
