Bugelli made the suggestion at council last week after receiving complaints from residents about students walking up Trent street ta, school. Bugelli said he has witnessed students walking three or four abreast on the road even though the Town installed a sidewalk on Trent."There are no bylaws for thids but the police can keep the street free and clear under the Highway Traffic Act," said Bugelli. Bugellisaid one motarist ended up in a ditch because he .had te avoid students. "And ail he got for his efforts was a knock on the window," said Bugelli, adding that when he attempted ta ask the students why they walk on the road he was met with profanity., "The danger there is too great. If charges need ta be laid, the police should," said Bugelli.
