After a brief absence, Anderson's high school news column bas retur- ned., Our school could not bave kicked off new semester better than with tbe open bouse beld last Wednesday, March 9. Staff and students worked together to put on one of tbe most entertaining and informative open bouses ever. The dulL cafeteria was sprung into life as tbe modemns department converted it into an international cafe. Entertainment was provided by the dramnatic arts department as well as students in modemn language classes in the form of small skits, a one-act play and musical performances featuring Uni and the Cycles. The history department invited you to tour a WWI trench and Grade 12 students donnèd costumes as tbey potrayed certain key figures of tbe past in tbe "Speakers Corner." In alI tbe open house was a big -success and all participants are congratulated.
