Consolation champs were Pizza Pizza who soundly defeated Dairy Queen by a score of 16-14. Marathon Realty Company Limited, a Toronto development firm, sponsored the tournament in association with the Whitby Minor Basebail Association. Every par- ticipant received a complimentary hot dog and soft drink and a trophy to commemorate their efforts. Doris Holley and the Womens Auxiliary provided refreshments. for the day. Leanne Grieve, a representative of Marathon said the event provided much excitement and en- tertainiment for players, parents and relatives. The weatherman also co- operated with'bright and sunny skies. Plans to make the tournament an ahinual affair are in the works.
