AUCTION The Whitby Youth-Concert Band will hold an auction Saturday, June 27 at the Whitby Curling Club to raise funds to attend the 1988 Olympics in Calgary and a prestigious musical event in Bristol, England in 1988. .The band, which recently won first place awards in the 1987 Toronto Kiwanis Music Festival, has been invited to perform at the Olympics ' and is one of only three groups fromn Canada invited to the International Week of Music in Bristol in JuIy next year. The auction is one of- a series, of fundraising events plakined by parents. They hope to attract 1,000 people to the auction and are seeking contributions of articles to auction off.
