HERITAGE DAY No one will want to miss Heritage Day in downtown Whitby Sep- tember 13. From noon till 4 p.m. there is a full slate of activities and attractions planned for all ages. QUIT SMOKING There's still time to register for the Lung Association's stop- smoking program, Countdown, which begins September 9 at the Whitby Public Library. The seven session course costs $65, payable in advance, and runs for five weeks.
