PRESS A Whilby man wil be among the members of the lO3rd Dominion of Canada Rifle Association Teamn leaving July 3 to corn- pete in the fulîbore rifle championships in Bisley England. James Spratley is the youngest member of this year's leant and is making his tiird ap- pearance at Brisley, considered the Mecca of fulîbore rifle shooting. Spratley attended the Brisley competilion in 1981 as a member of the DCRA Cadet Team and in 1982 was on the DRCA Brisley Team. He aIso qualified for the 1983, 1984 and 1985 teamns. Spratley was alsco a inember of the National Whitby Slairways un- der 12 years soccer team has picked up where they lef t off lasi season by continuing in ils winning ways. The DRCA Brisley Tearn is made up of 180of the finest shooters in the country, ail of them amateurs who qualified for the competition at the Annual Matches held last August in Ot- tawa. The Championships ai Bsley are organized by the National Rifle Association of Great Britain and begin on July 12 finishing up July 26 with the final of the Queen's Prize which is shot ai 900 and 1,000 yards. In the semi-final penalty kicks were required to decide the winner as the score remnained tied after ex- tra time was played at 1- 1 with Turuls goal by Mike Konopaski. (under 15s - boys born 1971) in the Banlam division ai Civic Field Four on Monday, June 16.
