WHITBY FME PESS Crime Stoppers: break and enters The Durham Regional Crime - Stoppera Program la asking for the assistance of the public in solving the following offences which have been com- mnitted in the Eastern area of our Region and eyond., During the night of March 16 and 17, per- son(s) unknown broke into the Ontario Hydro Building on Scugog Rd. N., Bowmanville. At titis time a hydro pickup and a selection of hydro work clothing was atolen. On March 17 during the daylight hours a house on Reg. Rd: 20, North of Mosport Park was broken into and a quantity of jewellery was stolen. Parked out- aide was a hydro truck. Shortly thereafter a house on County Rd. 28 in Cavan Twp. was also broken into. Found at the scene was a hydro map which came from the stolen pick up truck. Later that day the pick up truck was found abandoned at the Fifth Wheel Truck Stop, Waverley Rd. and Hwy. 401, Bowmanvill. Again during the night of Marcit 23 and 24, the same hydro offices were broken into and another pick up truck. was craahed through the gates. Also taken was a Toshiba VCR. This pick up was later found at the FiftlxWheel. Crime Stoppera is of- fering an award for in- formation leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for these offences. In ad- dition an award of up to $1,000 is being offered for information leadlng to an arrest in any serious crime. As a caller you wilI neyer have to identify yourself or' testify in court. The car had been parked near the Bank of Montreal on Brock St. S. with the passenger door unlocked. When the owner returned five minutes later, the dog was gone.
