At the Whitby Figure Skating Cu' Precision Skating com- petition on Saturday, March 1, the home club teams won six.- gold medals out of a possible seven. With 41 teams in attendance (ap- proximateiy .600 skaters), Iroquois Park Arena was almost filled ,to capacity. The spec- tators were treated to a fun and excitment filled day as the teams of skaters showed- how good Precision -skating can be. There were 74 skaters (and parents) visiting Whitby from Warwick, Rhode Island, who said they had neyer seen such a demon- stration of quality skating in their seven years of competitions in the New England area. Winning the Eastern Ontario Sectional Com. petition, again qualifies Whitby's Ice Angels (novice) and Ice Crystals (junior) to compete at the Canadian Precision Championships in Van- couver on March 30.
