Probably best known as a screen adaptation which cieaned up at the acaderny awards two years ago, Amadeus provides sonne dramatie insights into the life of Wofgang Amadeus Mozart. Arnadeus is one of the Most challenging productions ever moun- ted by gie Whitby Little Theatre and for the first time ever the group has hired a professionai director. Director Christopher Covert has a resumne that spansý 10 years of Canadian theatre and. includes work at the Stratford Festival, Adelaide Court, Autumn Angel Repertory Com- pany, Equity Showcase Theatre and the Tyrone Guthrie Theatre in Min- neapolis. Mr. Covert's passion for this produc- tion as weil as for the life and work of Mozart hirnseif has resulted in a dedication to the play that audiences should find very exciting.
