OREA President Bill Hopkins said that the Association bas been deeply involved in the proparty rights issue for many yearsi culminating over the ast five years with the sponsorship o! the suc- cessful Private Proper- ty Week. The week was celebrated this year Oct. 6 to 14. As property owners becamne more aware of the variou.s agenices which could restrict or remove their property rights they began to turn to the association and local real estate boards for help. The new Property Owners Information Handbook, a 46-page compilation of names, addresses and teleiphone numnbers resulted, he said. The bookiet contains information on conser- vation authoriies, various provincial mninistries, the Ombud- sman and the Niagara Escarpmnent Com- mission. It also lists the Ontario cabinet, MPP's and Ontario's MP's in Ottawa. Copies of the bookiet are being distributed, through local boards. In order to serve the Durham Region better, Owasco Voikswagen is doubling the size of its service department, body shop, part depar- tment and sales force.
