Free Press Staff Photo Student Work Proj ect Extended By JAN DODGE Free Press Staff The Ministry of Revenue annodnced plans for an extended pilot projeet of S.W.A.P. (Student Work Assign- ment Program) at the Durham Board of Education meeting, Oct. 28, The original pilot program, last year, allowed high school students, under the guidance of teachers, to learn from ministry staff new skills on microcomputers at the Ministry of Revenue of- fices in Oshawa. In- cluded in this Iearning process was the task of completing a computer- assisted project for a community organiza- tion. Five students from Anderson Collegiate completed a project for the Red Cross in which they entered on the compter a list of al blood donors employed by the ministry and cross-referenced them by blood type.
