The historical calendar which was produced for the last twvo years by the Whitby Historical Society is this year being publislied by the Ontario Historical Society. The first calendar (1984) feature Whitby pictures and Ontario County pictures in 1985, this calendar features pliotograplis from all parts of the province. it is being sold tlirough historical societies, museums and retail outlets througliout 0Ontario. Doug Anderson, wlio started the calendar in 1983 while lie was president of the WhitbY Society, decided to ap- proacli the Ontario group wlien it became apparent that it could not reacli its full poten- tial as a fund-raiser unless it reached a larger market. The calendar features trteen historic phot(ograpls, one for eacli month and the cover. Tliey were selec- ted by Anderson from the collections at the Ontario Archives and the Toronto Archives.
