DURHAM REGION TRACK FINALS Dr. Robert Thornton School was once again a strong force against their competitors in the finals. The weather was very unkind for the eventi where athletes were forced to compete in the cold weather and bitter winds. The following are the winners from. Dr. Robert Thornton School: Brad Stella, first in high jump; Greg Kerr, first in high jump; Scott Whitney, first in 100 m and 200 mi; Sandy Cohen, third in the 100 m; Adrian Howard, fifth in the 800 mi; Andrew Martin, fifth in the 400 m; and, Jason Gurd, first in the 1500 ni. Girls Events Sue Perroni, first in the 100 mn and the 200 m as well as the 80 m. hurdies (setting a record-winning gold medal). Onike Neil, first in the 400 m and third in the 200 m; Stephanie Sears, fourth in the long jump; Marie Minas, third in the shot put; Jeanette Croucher, fif- th in the 800 m; and, Angela Howard, fifth in the 8w0 Mi. The l0-year old girl's relay team came fifth in their event. Team. members are Angela and Amnan- da Miles-Berry, Linda Parnsalu and Brenda Hogan. The 15 year old girls' relay team came third in their event. Teamn members are: Sue Perroni, Cornie Penny, Kim Crabb, Stephanie Sears ai.d Missy White. HERITAGE BALL The Whitby Historical Society will hold their fun- draising annual bail on Saturday, June 22, starting at 8t p.rn. in the Regal Rooni, Centennial Building in Whitby.
