The novice team are hoping for a rernatch later in the season with a rnuch different out- corne. Scoring for Whitby over the three garnes were Santos with nine goals and one assist, Primeau with six goals and three assista, Mac- Donneil with four goals, Wye and Massey netted two goals each'and ad- ded 1-4 assista respec- tively, Mehta and Taylor came up with one goal and two assista each. Ending a perfect team readout were four assists made by Burrows, Wilkinson and Flintof f with three assista each, Stewart with two, Sorchetti, Hogel and Wayling with one assist each. The HiLdeaway peewees played at- the Spartan Tournament hosted by the St. Catharines Lacrosse Club, and came home with the "C" champion- ship and the grand championship, cleaning out the whole tour- nament. Game one against St. Catharines Golden Eagles was a 13-2 vie- tory for Whitby. Six Nations took the second game 6-8, with Whitby playing most of the game fromn the penalty box! The final grand championship was played against Six Nations, who had previously beaten Whit- by, in this game the tables were turned with an 11-2 victory. Goaltenders Brett Agnew and Wayne Pad- dick were both highly praised for some superb goaltencling during this game. The peewee goal scorers were numerous, Fawcett and Shearer accumulating nine goals each, Vipond seven goals, Martin and Cook with six, Badowich, Derks and Windover netted five goals each, Glen Den- ning scoring four, Ladouceur and Pitters with three each- and single goals scored by Crawford, Hayden, Sladeczec and Smith. It is very obvious that team participation is alive and well in Whit- by's minor lacrosse.
