OPENING WEEKEND The Pickering Musuem Village will hold its opening weekend and steam-up days on June 8 and 9 from 12 noon to 5 p.m. The facility is a restored l9th century village including homes, barrns, a blacksmith shop, hotel, harness shop, church and hallali located on the banks of Duffin's Creek. There will be demon- strations of old streamn and gas engines, grain threshers, forging, wood splitting and other pioneer crafts. There will also be displays of early farm implements, pioneer clothing and 19th century homes and barns. The village site also boasts a large picnic ground, refreshments, arts and crafts and souvenirs. The Pickering Museum Village is located on Hwy. 7, three kilometres east of Brock Rd.
