EMPLOYMENT SEMINAR Brooklin Library will hold a seminar on techniques for procuring summer employment in conjunction with the Students Empioyment Centre of Whitby on Manday, May 13 at 7 p.m. Topics ta be cavered include strategies, resources, how ta register with the centre, and how to prepare a resume. A representative of -the centre will be giving tips on how and where to find summer jobs. Ail young people are welcome and are asked ta register in advance by caliing the iibrary at 655- 3191. Youths charged with misehief Three Brooklin youths will appear in Whitby provincial court this Friday in connectian with an act of vandalism at the Thunderbird Golf and Cauntry Club that caused $2,000 damage on April 28. According toaa spokesman for the Durham Regional Police Force, one of the sheds on the Ashburn facility was broken into and the tractors were recovered and driven around the course where they were later recovered. Another vehicle was aiso found on the property. Charged with break, enter and theft and mischief over $50 are John E. Brough, 18, of 17 Ferguson Ave. and Brian E. McLean, 18, of 48 Torian Ave. Charged with mischief over $50 is Eric W. Banks, 18, of 118 Queen St. Ail were released on a promise to appear in court this Friday. Basebail ecards are availabte The Whitby Fire Department has an- naunced that its 1985 Toronta Blue Jays Basebali Fire Safety Cards will be available beginning this Saturday (May 11). The ballots ta obtain the cards will be pubiished in this Satur- day's editian of the Toronto Star. Chiidren and other basebail fans interested in collecting the cards are ta present the campleted ballot at the main Whitby fire station, 201 Brock St. S. The first set of cards will include: a team phato; a card check iist; pitcher Dave S teib; out- fielder Jesse Barfield; manager Bobby Cox; shartstop Tony Fernan- dez; and, Gary Lavelle. The second set wiii be availabie on May 25; the third set on June 8; the fourth set on June 22; and the fifth and final set on July 6. The fire department, in conjunction with fellow departrnents, will be holding a draw using the completed ballots.
