SKATING MEET The Uxbridge Figure Skating Club will hold its sixth annual skating invitation competition this Saturday and Sun- day from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. at the Uxbridge Arena. Over . 400 amateur skaters from across On- tario will compete for medals and trophies in freeskate, dance and in- terpretive events. The club will also be holding a bake sale, a raffle and sweater and skating boutiques. Admission is $2 for aduits and $1 for children (12 and under). HEALTH CARE The Whitby branch of St. John Ambulance will be offering an eight- week health care course for senior citizens beginning Feb. 4 at 6:30 p.m. at the Seniors' Ac- tivity Centre, 801 Brock St. S. The course is designed for senior citizens and covers such topics as general first aid, medical emergen- cies and home safety. The registration fee is $5 for centre members and $6 for non- members.
