A new month has star- ted and with it many new activities and hap- penings. Our annual Doc-A.- Thon has been com- pleted and now we proceed with the task of collecting the sponsored pledges. We have raised a sum of $45,000. Sore feet and tired bodies are a small price to pay for such a successful fund- raiser. A bit of added in- spiration was given to everyone to raise money. Those who raised at least $100 were eligible, to win two tickets to see Michael Jackson in concert. The lucky winner was Petra Fischer. She was presented her prize by Michael, Jackson him- self (played by our guidance counsellor, Angus Dixon). Dixon is presently in Europe where he will hopefully send us a postcard. The Rotary Youth Exchange is. being of- fered to a student from our sehool. The ex- change offers the '(z' student an opportunity to spend a year in another country, living with a host family, lear- ning a new language and meeting. new people.
