WHITB'ý F-REE PRESS Brown to speak Marion Brown, firat woman prealdent of a United Church Con- ference in 60 yeara, will be the gueat speaker at the Annual meeting, of the Oshawa Preabyterial United Church Women on Wed- nesday, Mar. 7 fromn 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Nurthminater United Church in Osbawa. Marion Brown was born and educated in Peterborough, Ontario and taught primary achool in that city. Brown, has lived in Kingaton, >Whitby, Meaford and Belleville and presently livea in Brooklin and a member of Wall Street United Church. Marlon Brown is married and bas two daughtera and one son. Brown is active in church work and has given leadership in C.G.I.T., Explorera, church achool teacher and auperintendent, Christian Education Commitees, church camping, U.C.W., Couples Club,* a choir member and congregational board member. She has aiso -been chairperson of Bay of Quinte Conference Division of Mission, Kingston Preabytery Division of Mission and a member of Division of Mission in Canada, its executive and agenda planning eommittee and a representative to general couneil executive.
