AS I went through three purses and haif a dozen notebooks looking for the, liat of items for this column, it occurred to. me that I have a serious problem. In an effort to keep some order in my life I have become a list-maker; not.just arun-of-the-mil amail "P'" istmaker but a genuine Capital L can't- get-along-without-them addict. For instance, I make -grocery lists (doesn't.ý ee - u. -o HAIRSTATIONTR (UNISX STLING (Fbur n Fbuay21s 655-42018 (UNISNOW YIN SOC 6655-8731 everybody?) but I go on from there to make another list of things I forget* to put on the first liat and another lIst to list the things I didn't know we were ont of, ad inifinitumn. I list thinge that bave to go to the cleaners, lists of what things are in which cleaners, liats of things I forgot to pick up from the cleaners. There are llsts of phone numbers for emergencies, lists of people 1 should caîl, lists of people I forgot to caîl. 0f course, there is a liet of things, that need to be done foilowed. by a list of things I didn't get around to which wll be tran- sferred to my next list of things which have to be done. Each month I make a list of those I plan to send greeting cards to and the next month a list of 'belated' cards that I should send. When we go cam- ping or on a trip I have lists of clothing for each family member, lists of equipment under ap- propriate headings and even a master list to tell me where to find everything on the other lists. "So what is your problem?"1 you ask, "You must be an organized Whizz!1" Weil, I would -be if I could ever remember where 1 put ail the lists after I make them, at least, I think I would. Maybe I should make a "Master" list to tell me where ail the rest of them, are but then again the problem may be deep in my sub-conscious. I re.ad one time that "the trouble with being ef- ficient is that it makres everyone hate you". Maybe my problem is that I'd, rather be loved than organized.
