WHITBY RULES THE WAVES Members of the Whitby Iroquois Swim Club ruled the waves at the recent 200's meet at Trent Univer- sity hosted by the Trent Swim Club. W.L*S.C. swimmers dominated the competitioz notcing 350 points for a resounding victory in the eight club meet. Trent scored 304 points for second spot, and Ernestown was third with 217. Strong performances and personal best times qwere achieved by numerous W.I.S.C. swimmers, Top competitor was Craig Potsep in 1/under boys events. Potsep placed first in every event entered. Impressive swims were given by a number, of W.I.S.C.'s newest competîtors which bodes well for the local club's competitive strength in the AA division. Qfl t Umm HOCKEY NEWS The lOth Annual Iroquois Hockey Tour- nament, sponsored by the Brooklln-Whitby Minor Hockey Association, will be held froin Nov. 25 until Nov. 27 at Iroquois Arena in Whitby and Luther Vipond Memorial Arena jat Brooklln. Sixteen teams will play in the Minor Peewee "AA" Division and sixteen others wil play in the "AAA" Division for a total of thirty-two teams. The same number of teams wil play in the Minor Bantain "AA" and "AAA" divisions, also coming froin Michigan and many parts of Ontario. The games begin at 8 a.m. at Iroquois and Brooklin arenas and go through until 8 p.m'. on F riday and Saturday. Division championships will be held only at Iroquois Arena, starting at 8:15 a.m. on Sunday. The Minor Peewee Grand Championship gaine, that is, the "AA" winner against' the "AAA" winner will be run off at 2:45 p.m. on Sunday. The Minor Ban- tam Grand Champion will be declared after thp game at 4:30 p. m. on Sunday, both at Iroquois Arena. Individual garne stars wilI be chosen, as well as, most valuable players during the tour- nament and trophies will be awarded. Admission for the tournament will be $5 for a three day pass and $2 for daily admission.
