Corridor Capers ('ail "2:-bM1M7 ith itellis tis bk 'urni,. Wlllow Park Association, Just a littie history first. Before we in the Corridor became the Town of Whitby, each Park had a Park Association. In 1962 Willow Park, in the Corridor, had such an association, and funds were collected from the résidents to heip with costs at the Park. In due time the Town of Whitby amalgamated the Township and ail the parks came under the jurisdication of the Wlutby Recreation department. However, Willow Park at that time had a small bank account. The money remained in the account and collected in- terest ail these years. At the Satur day evening Capers Bail, Jean Allan, who was 'one of the exécutive members of> the Willow Park Assoc., presented a cheque in the amount of $211.92, to the Corridor Area Ratepayers* to heip with the donation to the Dr. Joseph Ruddy Hospital. Members of the Wiilow Park Association executive were - Dick Schad, Burton Porter, Doug, Kerr, Larry Hall, Frank McCaMmond, Art Wilson and Jean Ailan. The Corridor Area Ratepayers Association wish to thank the executive and members of the old Willow Park group. The money, has been put. to good use. Congratulations Lyla Lyla Allan of 34 Scott Street in Whitby has recen- tly been promoted to. the assistant director of, Nur- sinig at the Whitby Psychiatric Hospital'. Whitby Women's Institute The November meeting of the Whitby Women's Institute will be held at the home of Mrs. Laura Mc- Carl on Nov. 23 at 1:30 p.m. The topic of the program will be education and cultural activities. Capers Bail We made it! The Capers Bail was again a great success. Bey. Rogers and her faithful crew of helpers, outdid themseives organizing the. second Annuai 'Hard-Tixne' dance. The entire community was involved. Many local businesses donated door and raffle prizes. Guests attending the dance included, Corridor Area members and their friends, Margo and George Ashe M.P.P., Scott Fenneil M.P., Marcel and Shirley Brunelle, Joe, Nan and Sean Drumm, Betty and Gerry Emm and Jean and Howard Allan.
