WHITBY FREE PRESS, WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 27, 1982, PAGE il The,4 How to Plan the Perfect Wedding Beautiful weddings don't just happen-they take months and months of careful planning! Here are some guidelines for getting it all together as efficiently as possible: At least four months be- forehand, visit your cler- gyman and set the date and place for the cere- mony. Make your plans at this time for the reception as well, including music for the reception. Choose your attendants and draw up the invitation lists. Select your gown and. accessories, plus your bridesmaids' dresses; consult a men's formal- wear expert with your fiancé. Now is also the time to decide who will be taking your wedding photo- graphs, and to make ar- rangements with a florist. Three months prior to your wedding, order your invitations plus any other stationery you will be needing. This is also the time to make an appoint- ment with your doctor and arrange for your blood test. After these details are taken care of, enjoy plan- ning your honeymoon and shopping for your trous- seau! Two months before- hand, address your invita- tions and go shopping for the wedding ring. Choose your attendants' gifts and see about that all-impor- tant marriage license. A month before the wedding, you should have final fittings on your gown and your bridesmaids' gowns, and your invita- tions should be mailed at this time. If you plan on having a rehearsal dinner, now's the time to make the arrangements. You caif also have your formal wedding portrait taken now. And, don't forget to get a gift for your groom! If you plan on sending an announcement to your local paper, do so two weeks before the wedding. One week before the wedding you should final- ize plans for the reception, including seating and name cards. Also consult with your florist and pho- tographer one last time. Make final arrangements for your rehearsal ... and relax before your big day! Who Pays for What?
