The' Whitby Iroquois Swim Club is in the bingo business. The. club began sponsoring week- ly Monday night bingo at the, Hideaway last week. This is -a first-time venture for the swim club and revenue will be used to defray the club's operational expesnes and provide training equipment, as weil as other aspects that will benefit W.I.S.C. swim- mers. A federal government stu- dent employment grant through the office of Scott Fennell made it possible. Three studen- ts were hired to re- search, design, and build the exhîbit. Part of the construction costs were also cov'ered by the grant. With the, installation Of "Whitby, 1790 to 1890" the museum is now bet- ter able to serve the needs of the to.wn's citi- zens and other visitors to the museum. It is an excellent resource, an easy and interesâting way to learn more about Whitby's local history. The -officiai opening is at 3 p.m., Sunday, Sep- tember 26, admission is free.
