I believe our Whitby people do flot bow down to any defeatous at- 'titude in today's society - they find solutions. Whitby is l27,years old and we have retained the influence of our forefathers to fight for the progress of this community and we are proving Whitby is the most, progressive> town in the Province of Ontario. Twelve new industries this year; new housing developments; expanded shopping facilities; in-; creased service to, seniors and disabled as weil as godail round recreational and cultural activities, C. certainly demonstrates we are alive in the, Town of Whtby. I know we are rising above, the general downgrade in the economic climate which has un- & fortunately created much fear and pessimism in other Canaclian communities.
