"Firat, the town bas two entries this year - the operations depart- ment and the admini- stration departmnent,"' Garth said. I'Joe Bugeili and Ross Batten are the captains, and I can' imagine anything lesa tlian at least a liealtliy war of words between those two, prior to the 1 oe ,may have the edge in experience as lie, along with Wayne DeVeau and Tom Ed- wards, won _the event last year," Garth point- ot. "However, we don't expect that wil af- fect Ross Batten in the' least. After ail, the lionor of being the best 'bath-tubber' in the town is at stake." * "'Toadd to the excite- for grabs. ýThis year, the Lions Club wiil be men's éntry. no idea what to expect from the Whitby Lions," Garth noted. "I'm sure we'll hear about it if the Lion's tub leaves us in their wake. " The fifth entry to date is the one that could pr ove to be the favour- ite. That entry ia from the Whitby Sea Cadets. "If anybody bas an advantage, it should be the sea cadets," Garth said. "They have the naine connected with water, and we may al end up second to the cadets." "It will probably be everybody else against the town - lust year's winner - and if we can keep Joe and Ross occu- pied in their own bat-1 tle ..." Garth said more en- trants wiil be accepted Up to July 16. If you want to get in tliefrayf trophy to be won.
