NO ONE LIKES A SMART ALEC unlike the rest of my family, I ar n ot a rnorning person. It takes a certain amount of time and effort to get botb eyes open at the same time. One Sunday morning, I lay in bed listening while rny busband took a long leisurely sbower. While he was dressing, number one son proceeded to take an even longer shower, wasbing and. rinsîng bis hair tboroughly before he turned off the water. Before I could make by move, my daughter bad beaten me to tbe punch and was up to her chin in a warm tub. When I finally got my turn there was not a drop of bot water to be found. I mumbled and grumbled, and complained bitterly because ail the bot water was gone. My husband didn't say a word until I was finished witb rny raving to wbich he simply replied "the early bird gets the worm" ... smart alec. P.S. If any of you watched the play down to the "World, Cup of Soccer" over the past few weeks, you know how exciting it was. The semi-finals, and playoff garnes were real nail biters. I'm sure everyone had their favourites going into the final game last Sunday, but no matter if your team won or lost you should have been proud of tbem. It was an excellent garne. It was too bad there bad to be a loser. To ail my readers and friends of Italian and Ger- man background, congratulations! It's too bad we have to wait another four years to witness play of this caliber. ,See you next week ...Roxanne Reveler Brooklin Bakery drop off Fridays before noon please 655-4951.
