Residents of the Corri- dor area told coundil that they were also satisfled witb the ser- CONT'D ON PG. 5 Fourinj ured ii$15,OOO0 hous e flire Four people were sent to hospitai Sunday even- ing after a fire broke out at an Annis Street home. .According to a spokes- man for the Whitby Fire Department, a pot of grease caught fire in the kitchen of 714 Annis Street at about 9:15 p.m. Barry Paul Sait, bis wife Dorothy, bis son David were taken to'the Dr. J.O. Ruddy General Hospital suffering from first, second and third degree burns. Mrs. Salt's mother, Elsie Hughes, was also taken to hospital suffer- ing from what officiais described as a severe case of shock. The eider Mr. Salt was treated and releas- ed. The others remain in hospital where they were last reported in satisfactory condition. Three fire department vehicles and 15 firefight- ers responded to the call and quickly had the blaze under control. The spokesman said that fire damage was contaied to the itchen but the remainder of the house suiffred smoke damage. Damage -was estimated at $15,000 to building and contents.
