The trio won the prizes for raising the number of custorners they collected from over their February results. Every spring, the Oshawa & District Council for the Ar- ts presents its annual arts festival and this year the Oshawa City CouncI has declared the special week to honour "Art Fest '81", which takes place at the Oshawa Centre, on Friday, May 8 f rom 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Saturday, May 9, from 9:30 arn. to 5:00 p.rn. in the Eaton Court. On Friday, May 1, Whitby Arts, Inc., The Station Gallery, will present a "Prelude to "Art Fest Week", with a concert by lutenist Ernest His at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $3 for this concert of renaissance and baroque lute music, and may be purchased by calling the gallery a f668-4185. During "Art Fest Week", on Wednesday, May 6, The Station Gallery will present a free lecture at the gallery at 8 p.m. Mr. Shin Sugino, whose work is on display in the gallery currently, will discuss his work as a photographic artist and the field of photography, The Station Gallery will once again have its popular "hands on" exhibit at the Oshawa Centre during "Art Fest '81" where the public can learn more about the gallery's varied activities. Performing at "Art Fest '81", on Friday, May 8 at 7:30 p.m. will be the popular Gaetane Ollesch Dancers from Whitby. This year the Durhamn Region Family Y.M.C.A., one of the newest members of the Oshawa & District Council for the Arts will have an extensive display of the activities carried out by the staff and volunteers from the Famiîly Y.M.C.A.
